Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are simple to make and delicious to enjoy, they won't last long as smell and taste so good!

Ingredients
  

  • 150 g unsalted butter softened
  • 80 g caster sugar
  • 80 g light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 225 g self-raising flour
  • 100 g chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180C (160C for fan oven). Line 2 baking trays with parchment/baking paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, caster sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

  • Gradually add the self-raising flour to the mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
    100 g chocolate chips
  • Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion out the dough and roll into balls. Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking trays, leaving space between each one for spreading.
  • Flatten each dough ball slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool on the baking trays for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool.
  • Enjoy your homemade chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk of your favourite beverage!
