Finally we have had a break in the rain and some brighter moments, and drier days.
I remembered to buy a pot when out and about with my daughter over the Easter holidays and during a dry, but overcast day, I grabbed the opportunity to get outdoors and repot this lovely plum tree sapling.
I was given this amazing present for my birthday from a wonderfully kind friend. It is from The Present Tree. For me it was a perfect present, as we will enjoy it for many years to come, watching it grow bigger, and hopefully one day enjoying the fruit it will bear.
I have happy memories of picking and eating the plums in our garden as a child. The trees were laden, for a fruit-lover like me it was the perfect time of year… free outdoor snacks just ready for picking!
The meaning behind this particular tree, the wild plum, is hope and happiness. A very special present indeed, and one I will treasure.
