HUGS FOUNDATION, Near BODMIN
The Hugs Foundation, a rescue and rehabilitation centre for horses and ponies, has a host of activity sessions through the Easter school holidays. The sessions include Woodland Wanderers, Fields of Fun, Animal Antics, and an Easter Egg-Stravaganza. FREE FAMILY FUN IN NEWQUAY
Newquay, a popular coastal town, is brimming with Easter festivities for the whole family. The Killacourt hosts a free Easter celebration on April 19th, 2025, complete with egg hunts and children’s entertainment. From April 5th to 22nd, families can embark on the Newquay Easter Town Trail, solving clues hidden around the town and discovering hidden eggs.
For a unique experience, join the Golden Rock Easter Hunt in Newquay, exchanging found golden rocks for chocolate eggs. Explore the stunning Holywell Beach, perfect for family adventures and picturesque walks along the golden sands. Don’t miss the chance to spot Sammy the Seal at Newquay Harbour while enjoying the authentic maritime atmosphere.
EDEN PROJECT

The Eden Project with its magnificent biomes, located in an old quarry near St. Austell, is hosting a giant egg hunt and nature-inspired activities from April 5th to April 21st, 2025. Families can explore the lush gardens while participating in a thrilling Easter trail with sweet treats as rewards. The event also features vibrant wildflower artwork and educational experiences about nature’s importance in our lives. Collaborating with Graphic Rewilding and the National Wildflower Centre, the event focuses on nature and rewilding themes.

WILD AWAKE!

This Easter in Cornwall, why not head into the heart of Tehidy Woods for a truly enchanting family experience. Rogue Theatre perform an immersive Spring storytelling experience from 11th -21st April.
WILD AWAKE! celebrates spring through a wonderful mix of theatre, dance, live music, and the beautiful natural surroundings of Tehidy Woods. Look out for the Wild Spring Hare, who may make an appearance, with treats for everyone. You will also find a cauldron of tasty Wild Woodland Vegetable Stew, plus other food and drinks from the refreshments tent.
TRELISSICK GARDENS
Trelissick Gardens hosts an Easter trail from April 5th to 21st, 2025, perfect for nature-loving families. Make your way along the trail and explore the stunning gardens while participating in a fun-filled Easter egg hunt. Prices are £3.50 per trail and include an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg (includes dairy, vegan and free from eggs). LAPPA VALLEY


Lappa Valley offers an Easter egg hunt amidst its scenic surroundings, combining the excitement of a treasure hunt with the charm of heritage steam trains, plus duck racing!! Families can enjoy rides through beautiful landscapes while children search for hidden eggs, making it a delightful day out. My daughter loves the trains, pedalo swans and moorhens, and the crazy golf!
PENDENNIS CASTLE & MARITIME MUSEUM
From 5th to 27th April 2025 (10am – 5pm), Pendennis Castle in Falmouth invites families to embark on an Easter Adventure Quest. Participants follow clues, meet intriguing characters, and earn a chocolate reward upon completion. The quest operates daily throughout the school holidays and costs just £2 to join (this is in addition to the ticket price). Afterwards why not head for a stroll and beach combing at Castle Beach or Gyllyngvase Beach.
This Easter in Cornwall, join the Cornish Caretakers as they bring Cornish history to life at National Maritime Museum, Falmouth. ‘The Cornish Caretakers and the Treasures of Cornishness’ is an informative and hilarious performance, featuring Ed Rowe (Kernow King!) There will be Make & Take workshops and a Museum trail for families to join in with too. We thoroughly enjoyed The Wrong Chest last year so will look forward to catching this performance! Shows are at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.
EASTER EGGSPRESS AT BODMIN RAILWAY

From 4th to 16th April 2025, Bodmin Railway runs the Easter Eggspress, a special steam train journey through picturesque Cornish scenery. With the purchase of any All-Line or Single Line ticket, families can participate in a free Easter trail, adding an element of adventure to the train ride. EASTER AT PARADISE PARK
Paradise Park in Hayle hosts an Easter Golden Egg trail set among lush foliage, offering families the chance to explore the park while searching for clues. This activity combines the thrill of a treasure hunt with the opportunity to learn about various bird species and other wildlife. Complete the Paradise Park challenge and the quiz to receive a chocolate treat!
SPRINGTIME AT THE LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN
The Lost Gardens of Heligan celebrate Easter with a variety of family activities, including egg hunts and nature trails. Visitors can explore the gardens’ rich biodiversity, follow a trail with an activity booklet to keep everyone entertained, and enjoy the seasonal blooms that make spring at Heligan truly enchanting. This year there will be tree-themed crafts and tree planting! Head to the Home Farm area to meet chicks, lambs and piglets as well as other animals and rare breeds.
NEWQUAY ZOO & TreRICE


Newquay Zoo offers educational Easter activities where families can learn about different species’ eggs. This engaging experience provides insights into the animal kingdom, making it both fun and informative for children and adults alike.
This Easter in Cornwall why not visit Trerice, Newquay, where not only can you explore the gardens and house, but you will find a trail to follow that has Easter-inspired activities along the way, perfect for the whole family. The trail takes place between 5 – 21 April 2025. Prices are £3.50 per trail (normal admission also applies), and includes bunny ears, a trail sheet and a chocolate treat!
cardinham woods, BODMIN

While not an Easter theme, Cardinham Woods is always a great place to explore in school holidays. The Stick Man trail at Cardinham Woods is a great way to enjoy a walk, and will keep everyone entertained while enjoying the most beautiful woodland setting. Visit Woods Cafe and the play park for additional fun and tasty treats.. Help Stick Man to find his way back home, enjoying lots of fun and stick-themed activities in addition to learning some interesting facts about trees. Stick Man trail packs can be purchased from the Rangers Hut. For those with a family dog there is also a Wallace and Gromit Trail with activities and challenges to complete!
Badger Holiday Club runs sessions through the Easter Holidays, giving children an opportunity to explore, have adventures and take part in a variety of outdoor activities. Booking is essential to secure a spot.
